The directorate of mines and geology has sought permission from the state government to conduct an e-auction of over 2.6 million tonnes of iron ore lying at jetties and ports. The move comes even as uncertainty abounds over the restart of mining activity in the state. “We are awaiting government approval for the e-auction,” a senior mines official told REPORTERS.
